Welcome
I create abstract geometric paintings on hardboard panel which are supported by a one and one-half inch deep wood frame. I use latex paint applied with brush and sponge. A protective varnish is brushed on to complete the painting. The finished piece is ready to hang.
My current work is a reflection of my experiences and strong preferences for color, texture and dynamic design. For each painting my goal is to seek interesting relationships between shapes and colors. I may start with a rough drawing or nothing more than a basic idea, knowing that the course of the process will change in small and larger ways. I add and subtract depending on what I see before me, constantly looking for ways to proceed. Multiple alterations and the resultant layering of paint creates texture, a happy bi-product. I use bold colors and try always to avoid a formula or pattern. Hope you enjoy what you see here and thanks for visiting. |
